France in the summer - again and at last!

Later today we are due to get the ferry to Dieppe and explore bits of France we haven't yet discovered. The idea came from watching Rick Stein's Secret France https://www.rickstein.com/secret-france/ Whilst we know a fair few of these locations, there are some we don't - so if there is a structure to this journey, it sort of starts with Rick.

As is always the case with us though, plans are fluid and we will literally not make any decisions until we wake up in France on Wednesday. This time, we will also be driven by seeing how Mr B gets on with what is sounding very similar to his '100 day cough' he had during the pandemic, to which he has now added acute bacterial conjunctivitis - in both eyes 😂 He certainly likes a challenge! Good job we can both drive Evie and are used to taking shifts to cover the other driver as needed!

As usual, we will try and update the blog as we travel, and at least once a week, as and when we have easy access to WiFi.

We are also keeping our fingers crossed that we don't get a parking ticket again as we load the van on our own driveway like last year!

Next stop - la belle France!

  1. Bad luck Mr B getting crocked just as you are setting off. Bon voyage both and best wishes for speedy eye recovery (and less than 100 days of coughing)!
